Do you know that the first step in Hacking is gathering victim’s information. One of the information can be his IP address details. By knowing someone’s IP address you can trace his location. In this post we are going to learn how to get someone’s IP address with a single click.
Consider a case where someone is sending you emails, or someone is sending abusive messages on Facebook or any other website. You can get his IP address and track his location where he lives. Not exact and accurate location, but using IP tracking you can know from which country, state and city is someone from. If in some cases, if the matter is very serious then you can find out his IP address and hand over the information to police or cyber police to get him caught.
How to Get Someone’s IP Address With a Single Click :
1. Go to this site https://iplogger.org/
2. Enter a link and click Shorten.
3. You can also use the other services like Invisible image which generates a link to an invisible image.
4. Once you click Shorten you will see the following :
5. You will see your shortened link. You also have option to select domain and file extension to make it look like a link to a real file. You will also be provided with a link to track the statistics. Copy it and save it somewhere.
6. Now comes the tricky part. Send the shortened link to someone whose IP you want to find out. Use social engineering techniques to convince them to click on the link.
7. That’s all. When he clicks the link, you can view his IP address and location using the tracking link which you copied in step 5.
Note : As we have seen in this post that IP addresses can be captured using very simple tricks. This information can be used in many ways to harm someone. So as a security measure, never click on any link if it is suspicious. Always be careful while clicking any link, as it may also be a phishing attack.
