One of my blog reader has recently asked me through email, how to edit a webpage. Today we will share a little tweak using which you can edit any webpage. We will be using a line of Java Script code to make a webpage fully editable.
Note that this trick will edit the webpage only on client side and not the server side. So, you can use this trick just for fun. You might have come across some scammers who post fake adsense income proof, fake Paypal earnings, etc. They sometimes use this trick to edit the webpage to make the text show what they want it to show. So go ahead and try the trick to fool your friends.
How to Edit Any Webpage :
As an example we will be using our facebook page to show some fake likes and followers. Follow the steps :
Step 1 : Open your web browser and go to any webpage which you want to edit.
Step 2 : Paste the following line of java script code in the address bar. Sometimes browsers doesn’t add Java Script: at the beginning. In such case add it again manually.
Step 3 : Done! Now you can edit any part of the webpage by placing the cursor at that point.[media-credit id=1 align=”alignnone” width=”708″][/media-credit]
You can also save the code as bookmarklet to edit any webpage with a single click. Follow the below method to save the code and edit any webpage with a single click.
How to Create A Bookmark of the Code
To save the code as bookmark you need to set your bookmark bar to show under the address bar.
Step 1 : Go to settings by clicking the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 2 : Click Bookmarks. And then click Show Bookmark Bar.
Step 3 : Once the bookmark bar appears, drag the below link on the bookmark bar.
That’s it. Now whenever you want to edit any webpage just click the Bookmark that you have just added.
