Prevent Unwanted Tagging of Facebook Photos
Are you tired of your friends tagging you in unwanted photos on Facebook. Tagging Photos on Facebook may be fun, but when someone tags you in their photos just to get their photos on your wall so that your friends can also notice their images, then it becomes very annoying. When you have so many friends in your list, then it becomes a bit difficult to manage and comment on each tagged photo. Some people even tag you in their photo just to get more audience and likes on their image. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop tagging activities in Facebook. So, its better to prevent unwanted tagging of photos on Facebook and control how they appear on your timeline.
For this I will show you how you can remove tags from a photo in which you are already tagged by your friends. Next we will see how you can unfollow updates from a tagged photo. Finally we will see how we can review tags from friends before posting it on our wall.
1. Remove Tags From Photos
It becomes very annoying when someone tags you in a photo even when you are not present in the photo or if that image or post is nowhere related to you. So, when someone tags you in unwanted photos, then you can remove the tag from the photo. Open the Tagged image and Click Options. Then Click Remove Tag.

In the next pop up, select the reason you want to remove tag. Select I want to Remove this tag and click OK

2. Unfollow Updates From Tagged Photos
If you are fine with the tags, but don’t want to receive notifications when someone likes or comments on the photo, then you can unfollow the updates from tagged photos. Open the Tagged Photo and Click Unfollow Post

3. Review Tags From Friends Before Posting
As I mentioned earlier that there is no way to stop tagging in Facebook. But you can review the tags before they are posted on your timeline. Means, when someone tags you in a photo, you get a notification to review the tag. If you allow the tag, then only it will appear on your timeline, otherwise not. To enable this feature, Just go to your Privacy Settings by clicking the settings icon from the top right corner of your Facebook page.
Alternately you can login to your Facebook account and simple click the below link to land on the Timeline and Tagging Settings page.
https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=timeline&view
Select the Timeline and Tagging Tab and Click the Edit Button as shown in the screenshot below

When you click the Edit button, you will see a drop down page appears below it. Now select the Enable option.

From now onwards, whenever someone tags you in an image or a video, it will be hold up for your review and will not appear on your timeline until you approve it.
